Data deletion policy
How to ask us to delete your account, what actually gets deleted, what we can't delete and why. No runaround.
1. How to ask
By email to support@synthkeys.shop, or on Telegram, through a route that lets us check you're the account holder. Tell us the account email and, if you've ordered before, one order number.
We verify it's you before deleting anything. If we didn't, anyone could delete someone else's account by sending an email.
We confirm when it's done.
2. What gets deleted
- Your profile: display name, language and currency preferences.
- Your credentials and sessions: the account can no longer sign in.
- Any links you provided for services that required them.
- The delivery email on orders no longer subject to mandatory retention.
- Any other data we hold about you that isn't on the list in section 3.
3. What can NOT be deleted, and why
What we do with those records is unlink them from you as soon as we can: the facts and the amounts stay, your identity goes. When the retention period is up, they're deleted.
We also can't delete what's no longer in our hands: a key you redeemed lives on the platform where you redeemed it, and deletion there is asked of them.
- The payment record: amount, date, currency and transaction identifier. It's an accounting and tax obligation, and it's the proof the transaction happened.
- The reveal log: which line was revealed, when, from which IP, with which browser, and which version of the notice was accepted. It's the evidence in a dispute or a chargeback. Deleting it loses for both of us: we're left with no defence, and any later claim of yours becomes one word against another.
- The minimum order record that holds the other two up: what was sold, when, and for how much.
4. Open orders
If you have an order that's undelivered, unpaid, or mid-refund, deletion waits for it to close. Deleting the account halfway would leave you without the delivery you paid for or the refund you asked for.
We tell you when we receive the request: which order it is and what's outstanding.
If you'd rather, we cancel what can be cancelled and carry on with the deletion.
5. Keys already delivered
Deleting your account means losing access to your delivered keys, including the ones you never revealed. There's no recovering them afterwards.
If you're planning to close the account, reveal and save whatever you want to keep first. We'll remind you when we confirm the request, but the decision is yours.
6. Time frames
We confirm receipt usually the same day.
We carry out the deletion within a reasonable time from when we've verified your identity and any open orders are closed. If something takes longer, we tell you why.
Backups are overwritten on rotation: deleted data may remain in a backup until that backup expires, and during that period it isn't used for anything.
7. Coming back
You can sign up again any time, with the same email. It'll be a new, empty account: old orders don't come back.
